The client is a leading provider of behavioral health services since 1995. Their specialists work in over 1,000 care facilities across several US states, providing comprehensive services including skilled nursing facilities, community-based adult homes, assisted-living settings, adult day care, and rehabilitation centers.
They provide comprehensive behavioral health services to improve the quality of life of residents and assist the interdisciplinary care team in achieving the best person-centered care practices.
Challenge
Although the client has an existing custom form workflow for scheduling appointments online, it has been deemed necessary to improve the appointment registration process by integrating Waystar API, an insurance verification clearinghouse.

Solution
DevCom came up with a solution that met the idea of new automatic insurance verification which was incorporated into the new workflow. After evaluating several options, it was decided to develop a custom web page and custom API.

Results

Through the integration of a third-party API, clients and staff on the platform were able to avoid errors caused by human factors during the appointment registration process, leading to a more efficient and reliable workflow. As a result, the platform became faster, more stable, and highly useful.
