With a wide network of over 1,000 care facilities spread across multiple states in the US, their team of specialists offers a comprehensive range of services including skilled nursing facilities, community-based adult homes, assisted-living settings, adult day care, and rehabilitation centers.
The primary objective of the client is to enhance the quality of life for residents by providing comprehensive behavioral health services, while also supporting the interdisciplinary care team in implementing optimal person-centered care approaches.
Challenge
Although the client has an established custom workflow for scheduling appointments online, they recognized the need to enhance overall operational efficiency and improve the customer experience. As a result, the company came to decision to integrate Waystar API, an insurance verification clearinghouse, to streamline their current process.

Solution
DevCom came up with a solution that met the idea of new automatic insurance verification which was incorporated into the new workflow. After evaluating several options, it was decided to develop a custom web page and custom API.

Results
The introduction of the solution, including automated insurance verification software greatly improved the overall user experience of the system, leading to significant enhancements in every interaction. By integrating a third-party API, both clients and staff using the platform were able to eliminate errors caused by human factors when registering appointments. This integration resulted in a more streamlined and dependable workflow, making the platform faster, more stable, and highly useful.
