Business Challenge
Solution
DevCom performed a comprehensive AI Readiness Audit to evaluate the client’s technological maturity and identify opportunities for AI integration in e-commerce:
Step 1: Initial Discovery and Internal Research
We began by thoroughly reviewing the client’s company and website to understand the business context, current offerings, and potential areas for improvement before engaging directly with them.
Step 2: Stakeholder Interview
Next, we conducted an in-depth interview with the key stakeholders using the Jobs-to-Be-Done (JTBD) framework. This helped us uncover core business goals, user needs, and specific pain points that the solution should address.
Step 3: Competitor and Market Research
Following the interview, we conducted a competitive analysis to benchmark industry practices and identify market gaps and opportunities relevant to the client’s domain.
Step 4: User Persona & Pain Point Definition
Based on the stakeholder interview and market insights, we developed user personas that represent distinct segments of the client’s audience. For each persona, we outlined specific goals, behaviors, and pain points, allowing us to better understand how to align proposed solutions with user expectations.
Step 5: Internal Brainstorming & Feature Ideas
Our team held an internal brainstorming session to synthesize all findings, from stakeholder needs and pain points to competitor insights. Through this collaborative session, we defined a set of potential AI-powered features that would bring the most value to the client and address their core challenges.
Step 6: Feature Presentation and Validation Interview
In a second interview, we presented the proposed user personas, pain points, competitor features, and AI feature concepts to the client. This session helped validate our direction and capture additional input.
Step 7: Feature Feedback and Prioritization Analysis
In collaboration with the client, we evaluated each proposed feature based on two criteria: (1) implementation difficulty and (2) business importance. These were plotted in a prioritization matrix to visualize which features should be tackled first.
Step 8: Roadmap Definition
Based on the prioritization matrix, we created a feature roadmap that clearly outlined the most impactful and feasible features to implement in the short term. This gave the client a structured, actionable plan to move forward with development.
